The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday dismissed a public interest litigation petition seeking a direction to the State government not to nominate politicians to the Rajya Sabha or the Legislative Council or to various boards and corporations.

A vacation division Bench comprising Justice Ram Mohan Reddy and Justice B. Manohar passed the order on the petition filed by Ravindranath of Bangalore.

The Bench said courts cannot interfere in such matters as there is a clear demarcation on the jurisdictions of courts.
