A judicial inquiry will be conducted by a retired judge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court into the death of four persons in firing by personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force at Gagran, Shopian, on September 7, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Tuesday. In his reply to the three-hour long special discussion on what the opposition called ‘innocent civilian killings by security forces’, Mr Abdullah declared in the Legislative Assembly that a retired judge of the State High Court will be engaged to conduct an investigation.
