Now the tourist coming to the City Beautiful would be able to take back coffee mugs, paperweights, pen sets, T-shirts, caps and so on as souvenirs.

In an innovative initiative, the Chandigarh Administration’s Department of Tourism launched Souvenirs and Memorabilia of the City Beautiful at Hotel Chandigarh Beckons in Sector 42 here. The creator of the world famous Rock Garden, Nek Chand, comedian and film personality Jaspal Bhatti, international golfer Irina Brar and Director Tourism Vivek Atray were among those present at the function.

Mr. Atray said the purpose of launching these souvenirs and memorabilia was to provide tourists with a token to remember their visit to Chandigarh.

In the first phase, these souvenirs and memorabilia will be in the form of attractive and appealing coffee mugs, mouse pads, key chains, magnets, golf sets, paperweights, pen sets, T-shirts and caps.

These items would have different tourists spots printed on each of them. Even citizens of Chandigarh can purchase these from Sukhana Lake, Chandigarh Tourist Information Centre Sector-17, Shivalik View Hotel and Chandigarh airport.
