NEW DELHI: webchautari, a site which campaigns for restoring democracy in Nepal, has been temporarily closed down after being hacked.

The site (www.webchautari.com) , which was a forum for vibrant views on ushering a democratic republic in Nepal, apologised to its viewers for the inconvenience caused.

The site sported a black background with the words "Net devil was here." (Later, in a white background, it threw a challenge saying "Hackers and miscreants welcome.")

The site's managers said people offended by webchautari's views are the main suspects and declared that this type of act will not deviate them from their "mission." "We will be back with a bang," they said.
