NEW DELHI: The Navi Mumbaigreenfield airport will come up at the proposed site and will not be shifted, Civil Aviation Secretary Ashok Chawla said here on Tuesday.

“There is no other suitable site,” he said on the sidelines of a seminar organised by the FICCI.

There had been some demands to shift the airport for environmental reasons and these issues were being sorted out by the government.

He said the aviation sector was growing three times faster than the country’s GDP.
