Governor, E.S.L. Narasimhan has congratulated litterateur Ravuri Bharadwaja on winning the prestigious Jyanpith Award. In a letter, he conveyed his best wishes to the veteran writer who won the honour for his contribution to Telugu literature.
Coming close on the heels of Telugu attaining Classical Language status and the recent World Telugu Conference, the honour to a Telugu writer was of great significance, he said.
A prolific man of letters who studied life from the closest possible angle, Mr. Bharadwaja would go into the annals of Telugu history as one whose propensity with reality had produced several works from novels to plays, essays and children’s literature, Mr. Narasimhan stated.
