Air India Express (AIE) has increased its services from Kerala in its winter schedule.
As per the new schedule, AIE flights will fly from Kozhikode to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Bahrain, Doha, Dammam, and Muscat daily; to Salalah twice a week, to Kuwait thrice a week, and to Al-Ain once a week, an AIE press note said.
Following the revision of the winter schedule, AIE will operate more services to the Gulf countries from airports in Kerala and from that in Mangalore. There will be 119 services a week, an increase of 27 flights a week.
AIE flights will fly from Kochi to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bahrain, Doha, and Sharjah daily and to Muscat thrice a week. Passengers from Kochi will be offered convenient connections to Dammam via Kozhikode daily and to Kuwait three times a week, with both the boarding cards issued in Kochi and the baggage tagged to the ultimate destination. AIE will fly from Thiruvananthapuram to Abu Dhabi and Dubai daily, to Muscat three times a week, to Sharjah four times a week, and to Salalah twice a week.
AIE will fly from Mangalore to Dubai twice daily, to Muscat and Abu Dhabi three times a week, and to Doha and Bahrain twice a week.
On the domestic sector, AIE will operate daily flights to Mumbai from Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram and three times a week from Kozhikode to Mumbai and back.
An Air India Express spokesperson said this increase in capacity would help stabilise the fares to a large extent.
