Palakkad Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) Mohan A. Menon has urged the Railway Protection Force and the Railway Police to work in coordination to prevent crime on trains.
Inaugurating the coordination committee meeting between the two forces here on Thursday, he said both should work together to prevent crime and instil confidence among rail passengers, especially women.
The meeting discussed common strategies for effective control of crime on trains and railway premises, drunk travel, complaints against Railway employees, etc.
The meeting was addressed by M. Ramesh, divisional security commissioner, RPF, Palakkad Division; Rajan K. John, superintendent, Railway Police, Thiruvananthapuram; C. Ramadasan, assistant security commissioner, RPF; K.L. Radhakrishnan, Dy.S.P, Government. Railway Police; among others.
