People's Democratic Party (PDP) working chairman Poonthura Siraj has urged the Union government to provide medical facilities to party chairman Abdul Nasir Maudany who is jailed in Bangalore.

At a press conference here on Monday, Mr. Siraj said the State government had been adopting a callous attitude towards the jailed leader. The party would soon embark on a host of programmes in protest against the stance of the government. Protest meets would be organised in all districts on April 30.
