Two persons stabbed a 40-year-old worker from Mallapuram in Kerala when the latter refused to give money to the former near Badariya Mosque in Mangalore South police station limits on Wednesday.

The police said Mohammed Ali was sleeping near the mosque.

Two persons woke him up around 5 a.m. and demanded money. When Ali refused, the two stabbed him and went away.

Ali has been admitted to the Government Wenlock Hospital where he was operated. Ali was recovering from the injury, the police said.


Fire broke out in a photo studio near PVS Circle on Wednesday evening.
