The First Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate N. Amaravathi, here on Tuesday, dismissed the bail petition of MIM floor leader in Assembly, Akbaruddin Owaisi, and directed him to appear before the court on or before February 12 for a voice test.

The prosecution lawyer earlier argued that Akbar did not cooperate with the police in the interrogation and therefore he should not be given bail.

The Magistrate who heard the arguments from both sides for 40 minutes on Monday paid attention to the prosecution contention on Tuesday as well. However, Akbar’s lawyers objected to the prosecution lawyer’s contention asking why their client’s voice was needed when it was recorded already in the Nirmal court.
