A three-year-old leopard was caught on the Mandya National Paper Mills premises at Belagola near Krishnaraja Sagar reservoir on Sunday night, three days after the capture of a leopardess at Kenchanahalli in Pandavapura.

The leopard, which was said to have killed several sheep and dogs in the vicinity of Belagola since past a few weeks, had strayed into the abandoned paper mills on Sunday morning where it was trapped around 9 p.m.

The leopard will be transported to the forests at Hanur, in Chamarajanagar, and released there, according to Mohammed Jaffer, the Range Forest Officer (Mandya).
