Purnia: Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad on Thursday hinted at a mid-term general election and urged his party men to be prepared.

“I appeal to all party workers to prepare for the next election,” Mr. Prasad said after laying the foundation stone for a rail over bridge on National Highway 31 near the Purnia railway junction. His statement assumes significance in the wake of stand off between UPA Govt. and supporting Left parties. Earlier, addressing party workers in Patna on October 28, he flayed the Nitish Govt. for the “deteriorating” law and order situation in the State. — PTI
