Bharatiya Janata Party State president G. Kishan Reddy has said that the party will not have any alliance with any party in the General Elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing the ‘Yuvagarjana’ organised by party district wing at Bhuvanagiri marking local industrialist P.V. Shamsundar’s entry into BJP on Wednesday, Mr. Reddy dismissed the news of BJP’s pre-poll alliance with Telugu Desam Party. “We opposed the two-eye policy of TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu and we are not going to have any alliance in either of the regions with TDP after the State's division, the BJP president said.

Mr. Reddy averred that BJP will contest the elections on its own in 42 Parliament and 294 Assembly constituencies in 2014 elections. Saying that the creation of Telangana State is at an initial stage, the Himayatnagar MLA demanded the UPA government to table the Telangana Bill in Parliament on the first day of its winter session to prove the Congress party’s commitment to State's division. He flayed the Telangana Congress leaders for claiming credit for the Telangana State's formation even before it has become a reality. Mr. Reddy also urged the Centre to accord national status to Pranahitha-Chevella irrigation project which would benefit the Telangana region.

Welcoming Mr. Shamsundar into the party, Mr. Reddy said that the party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s views on nation's development had impressed the industrialist.

Senior BJP leader Nallu Indrasena Reddy, former Minister K. Pushpaleela, district wing president Veerelli Chandrasekhar, Chintha Samba Murthi and others were present.
