Kiran announces sops forhis constituency

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy who arrived at his native Nagaripalle village on Saturday has showered sops on his Piler constituency besides some on his native Chittoor district as well.

Shortly after his arrival on a three-day sojourn, he participated in a programme arranged in his honour by the district administration to facilitate interaction with the officials and non-officials of his constituency besides with the members of the SHGs including several women activists to get a first hand information on the status of various welfare schemes under implementation.

The Chief Minister has announced tapping of Kandaleru waters to tackle drinking water scarcity, early completion of buildings for schools and Anganwadi centres, development of 180 kms of road in the Kalakada mandal, releasing of 6,000 new gas connections in the first phase from out of the 35,000 connections identified as required to benefit the women, providing 12,000 numbers of street lights in the Piler segment, for his constituency.

He announced earmarking of Rs.1,000 crore to prepare a blue-print for integration of irrigation tanks, plan of action to complete the Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi project by 2012. for his district.

Among those who participated in the meeting were the CM's Special Secretary, S.S. Rawat, District Collector, Solamen Arokkiyaraj, Joint Collector Vijayamohan, Special Officer, PADA, Penchal Reddy. Chittoor MLA, C.K. Babu was also present.
