The Special Lokayukta Court on Wednesday extended the judicial custody of Katta Jagadish, son of the former Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu till November 26.

Mr. Jagadish along with his father is an accused in the KIADB-Itasca Software land scam. Judge N.K. Sudhindra Rao also asked the jail authorities to update the court on the condition of Mr. Naidu, who is undergoing treatment for cancer in Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai, under judicial custody.

The same court set November 26 as the deadline for the Lokayukta police to file the final investigation report in the case where the jailed former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa has been accused by Janata Dal (S) leader Y.S.V. Datta of committing irregularities in the Upper Bhadra Lift Irrigation Project. The allegation is that firms owned by Mr. Yeddyurappa's family members received kickbacks of Rs. 13 crore for awarding a civil works contract to an infrastructure company, which made the highest bid in an open tender.

The court also set November 26 as the deadline for the Lokayukta police to file the final report in the disproportionate assets case against the former civil servant H.D. Balakrishne Gowda.
