Former Haryana Minister Gopal Goyal Kanda’s plea to stay criminal proceedings against him in air hostess Geetika Sharma suicide case was dismissed on Wednesday by a Delhi court.

Stay sought

He sought the stay till the Sessions court decided his revision petition for supplying documents relied upon by the police against him after the magistrate court hearing the case had dismissed his plea seeking mirror images of electronic data and documents relied upon by the prosecution.

Additional Sessions Judge Kamini Lau, however, rejected his plea for staying the proceedings and listed his revision petition for Thursday.

“I have considered the said request (stay on proceedings) and I find no ground to intervene ,” ASJ Lau said.
