Justice Mohammed Sardar Ali Khan, former Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Andhra Pradesh passed away while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here on Thursday. He was 82.

Justice Sardar Ali Khan was the President of the State Legal Aid Advisory Board, and served as President of AP Judicial Academy from 1991-92. He was a member and elected Vice-Chairman of UN Sub-Commission on the Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities and a member of the UN Working Group on Minorities. He also served as the Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities and an ex-officio member of the NCHR. PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana condoled the death of Justice Khan. Minister for Minorities Welfare Mohd.Ahmadullah expressed his profound grief.
