: The Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, on Friday inaugurated six new buildings for ration shops run by the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, nine direct paddy procurement centres, three godowns and an office of the Assistant Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department in Thousand Lights in Chennai.

The total cost of the buildings is Rs 3.55 crore and all the buildings were inaugurated through video conference.

The new ration shop buildings, with solar panel, included one in Tiruverkadu, two in Villivakkam and three Vyasarpadi.
