CHENNAI: “India is yet to reach the height of technical work. Currently, it is way behind others. To reach the objective, it needs young graduates,” said C. Mohan, IBM fellow and former IBM India Chief Scientist on Monday.

Inaugurating a three-day international conference on Information Systems & Software Engineering conducted by the Department of IT and Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College, he asked the students to improve their soft skills whether they opted for managerial or non-managerial posts.

“Doing good work alone is not enough. It is equally important that one should be able to convey messages in the competitive world,” he said.

Mr.Mohan urged the students to draw up a long-term vision regarding their career as they have lot of opportunities to choose from.
