India has condemned Saturday’s terrorist attack in China’s Kunming in which 33 people were killed and 143 injured.

“India strongly opposes terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” an official statement by the External Affairs Ministry said, adding: “We extend our condolences to the bereaved families and wish early recovery to those who were injured.”

Chinese security officials ‘said a group of 10 knife and sword-wielding attackers, suspected to be from the restive Xinjiang Province, attacked people at a crowded railway station.

While five attackers escaped, four were killed and one injured woman militant was arrested.
