Indian Medical Association national president G. Samaram has said he never endorsed any food product “through the IMA.”

Responding to a New Delhi report published in these columns on Saturday that the Medical Council of India had removed the names of the IMA president and the secretary from the medical register for six months for endorsing food products, Dr. Samaram said that as national president of the IMA from December 28, 2009 till date he had never endorsed any food product.

“Even prior to this period I have never endorsed any food and hygiene products. I am not involved or connected with this matter,” he said in a communication.
