Four short films made by students of the MGR Government Film and Television Institute (MGRFTI), Chennai, were screened at a special session at the 42nd International Film Festival of India here on Monday.

12-minute duration

The films, all of 12-minute duration, in Tamil are Karukku , Muggari , Patti-Naa and Achupizhai .

Delegations of students from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, the MGRFTI, and the Satyajit Ray Films and Television Institute, Kolkata, are attending the IFFI along with their faculty members.

Great exposure

Interacting with presspersons, V.M. Raviraj of the MGRFTI faculty, said the IFFI was a great exposure to students, who not only got to watch the latest globally famous movies but also attend Master Classes of experts and interact with celebrated filmmakers.
