The Kerala High Court on Friday granted bail to K. Subash, an Assistant Professor of the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C), and an accused in the case relating to the mysterious death of Indu, researcher scholar at NIT-C. Justice P. Bhavadasan ordered that the accused be released on bail on his executing a bond for Rs.25,000 with two solvent sureties to the like sum. The court ordered him to appear before the investigation officer on all Wednesdays. It also stipulated that he shall not leave the State without the permission of the court. The body of Indu was found in the Periyar near Aluva a few days after she went missing from the Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore Express train in April 2011.
