The writ appeal filed by the State government challenging the orders of a single judge of the AP High Court staying the election to the DCCB (District Cooperative Central Bank) in Guntur will come up for hearing on Friday before the bench headed by the Chief Justice.
It may be recalled that voters of Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS), Santhagudipadu of Guntur district, filed a writ petition challenging the action of the government in staying the elections to their society. A single judge stayed the next stage of election to the DCCB. Now the government has filed the present appeal which will be heard on Friday.
Meanwhile, Justice L. Narasimha Reddy of the AP High Court on Thursday called for records from the government to know what material was available with it to postpone the elections to Vallapalli, Sajjapuram and Pathasanthamagulur PACS. The judge was dealing with three separate writ petitions filed challenging the action of the government in postponing elections to the managing committees of these three societies. The case will be called on Friday.
