Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan has asserted that he had not received any file from the State government relating to the resignation submitted by Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao.

In a brief chat with reporters during an Iftar party hosted at Raj Bhavan here on Saturday, the Governor said it was for Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy to take decision on the resignation submitted by the Minister. “The ball is not in my court as being perceived,” he said.

Onus on Cabinet

Mr. Narasimhan said the file relating to the resignation should be forwarded to him on behalf of the Council of Ministers so that he could act on the request in line with the Constitutional provisions.

“I have not yet received any file as of now,” the Governor said.
