Basar police on Friday exhumed the dead body of a thirty-year-old government teacher, Dayyala Navin Rao, from a spot in Mittapurgutta forest area of Navipet mandal in Nizamabad district. The teacher, working at Manmad village in Lokeswaram mandal, was reported missing one week back.

The accused, M. Nikhil, Surya Teja and Nair, all belonging to Nizamabad, were arrested subsequently.

The brother of the deceased had provided a clue that the abduction and murder could be the handiwork of the three youths, of whom Surya Teja was rumoured to have illegal links with the wife of the murdered employee.

According to the police, Navin Rao was taken by the threesome in a car some 7 days back to an unknown destination.

They took him to a deserted spot and hit him with an iron rod besides strangulating him and burying the body in the jungle.
