Three government school teachers from the State left for Texas in the United States on Monday to share their experiences with teachers there and learn innovative ways of teaching.

Vijayalakshmi R. Setty from Government Higher Primary Kannada Girls School, Mantur taluk, Hubli; Keerthivathi Vinayak Rao Nadig from Government Higher Primary School, Kelageri, Dharwad; and Lingaraj V. Ramapur from Government Higher Primary School, Bhairadevarakoppa in Hubli, are being sent by Sikshana Foundation, a non-governmental organisation.

Kumar Anish, Director of Training, Sikshana Foundation, said, the efforts of teachers in government schools were recognised through such initiatives. Mr. Nadig, who is also a resource person for ‘Nali Kali’, said he looked forward to exchanging cultural activities as well as teaching and learning new methods.
