Girl goes missing from hostel

Tension prevailed for some time at Sirgapur village in Kalher mandal on Tuesday as a girl went missing from a residential hostel.

According to sources, a class VII student of Rajolu village in Nyalakal mandal had been studying at Kasturba Hostel at Sirgapur. She went out from the hostel on Monday and did not return. The parents came to the hostel on Tuesday to meet her and it was then that the issue came to light. They held a protest in front of the hostel and demanded that the administration find their daughter immediately. The hostel staff then lodged a complaint with the police. Police have registered a missing case and are investigating.
