Equipped with the latest healthcare technologies and services such as a mini-theatre and a gymnasium for patients and attending relatives to de-stress, the first phase of the next generation quaternary care hospital -- Fortis Memorial Research Institute -- in Sector 44 here will soon become operational.

Making this announcement at the “Concept Launch” of the multi-super speciality hospital on Monday, Fortis Healthcare Limited executive vice-chairman Shivinder Mohan Singh said: “The first phase of the hospital with a 450-bed capacity and entailing an investment of over Rs.450 crore is expected to become fully-functional by January next year. A few of the departments have already started functioning. The hospital has a total capacity of 1,000 beds and will be made fully functional in phases over the next 3-4 years.”
