Lok Ayukta Justice B. Subhashan Reddy imposed cost (penalty) of Rs. 10,000 on a complainant from Khammam district who had filed complaint with false allegations and abused the process of law by invoking the jurisdiction of the institution.
One Chella Nageswara Rao of Rudrakshapalli village in Sathupalli mandal of Khammam district had filed a complaint alleging that Vadde Babu had secured a job in Singareni Collieries under the fake name of Kalthi Swami and with a fake caste certificate (ST).
On the directions of Lok Ayukta, the Chief General Manager of Singareni Collieries, Kothagudem, filed a report stating that Kalthi Swami from ‘Koya’ (ST) community was appointed as a Floating Badli Filler in 1988 by following the due process of selection and he was working now as General Mazdoor at PVK-5 incline. An inquiry conducted by the CGM had also proved that neither the name nor the caste status of Kalthi Swami were wrong as alleged by the complainant.
The inquiry had revealed that Mr. Nageswara Rao had lodged a complaint with the institution to take revenge against Kalthi Swami due to family disputes between the two as the former had married the latter’s younger sister, who was staying with her brother after a strained relationship with her husband.
The Lok Ayukta directed Mr. Nageswara Rao to deposit the amount with district Collector within a month’s time after receiving the order.
