The leaders of employees’ joint action committee on Monday called on A.P. Chief Secretary Minnie Mathew and Director General of Police V. Dinesh Reddy separately to represent about the booking of criminal cases against employees during the Telangana march.

On the other hand, Home Minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy discussed the cases booked as part of the march with Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. When the employee leaders met the Chief Secretary, they brought to her notice that false cases were booked against 21 employees. They threatened to take up a phased agitation if the cases were not withdrawn.

Ms. Mathew contacted the DGP who replied in the negative to the claim of leaders that cases were registered against employees. The DGP asked the City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma to review the cases and discuss the details with him when the leaders called on the former, a police press release said.
