District Educational Officer K. Lingaiah suspended a government drawing teacher deputed for the SSC examination duties for misleading the authorities and helping his son in an examination centre in Karimnagar on Thursday.

The DEO said drawing teacher Rajender, who had not informed the authorities about his son writing the examination, was deputed at Bharathiya Vidya Kendra centre in Karimnagar where his son was writing the exams. Since the last four examinations, he was on duty at the centre and was helping his son.

During the inspections, the authorities noticed Rajender helping his son and he was immediately placed under suspension.

Two students debarred

The DEO also discharged two invigilators from their SSC examination duties for helping students to resort to malpractices in a centre in Shanigaram of Koheda mandal and Husnabad mandal. The authorities also debarred two students for indulging in malpractices in a centre in Jagtial and Godavarikhani towns.
