Deputy Chief Minister C. Damodar Rajanarasimha has said that the Congress would contest all the seats in the by-elections that would be held next month.

Speaking to reporters at Yedupayala on Monday, Mr. Damodar, who visited Vana Durga Bhavani temple on the occasion of Maha Sivaratri, said that he would also participate in the election campaign.

Referring to the recent meeting with the Railway Minister, he said that the issue of Medak Akkannapet railway line and proposed Patancheru-Sangareddy-Ramagundam railway line issues were taken to the notice of the Union government.

He said that the issue of land acquisition has to be addressed before taking up the project. The Railway Minister had also assured to establish rake points at Akkannapet and Manoharabad.

Asked about the allegations regarding the Ghanapur project, Mr. Damodar said that he was not aware of the allegations.

The Deputy Chief Minister also promised to develop Yedupayala on par with other pilgrimage centres.
