Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Coimbatore Zone, will organise a two-day “Regional Summit on Quality in Education” here on November 11 and 12.

The summit will deliberate on initiatives that can bring about effective quality teaching in higher education, through role of faculty members, support of decision-making bodies, etc.

It will also deal with filling the gap in information on outcome indicators for higher education institutions.

Leaders in education can share their vision, strategy, innovations, successes, challenges and concerns which will enrich their knowledge and perspective for an effective and sustainable growth.

According to a release from CII, to introduce an effective institutional policy for sustainable growth, a comprehensive statement of development, adaptation, utilisation and management of initiatives are important to improve the livelihood and status of educational systems, and subsequently the overall contribution to the national development.

The meet will be held at The Residency, it will be inaugurated by R. Kannan, Principal Secretary to Government – Higher Education, Government of Tamil Nadu.

Speakers will include, Jennifer A. McIntyre, Consul General, United States Consulate, Mike Nithavrianakis, British Deputy High Commissioner, South India, and Nandini Rangaswamy, Chairperson, Education Forum, CII Southern Region, besides experts from academia and industry.
