Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty, along with other State Ministers and senior officials, will meet top business leaders and overseas diplomats in New Delhi on April 20, signalling the launch of a six-month-long build-up to ‘Emerging Kerala,' a three-day summit of business leaders, investors, and policy makers proposed to be held in Kochi in September.
On Friday, Mr. Chandy and Mr. Kunhalikutty and senior State officials will meet the Ambassadors and High Commissioners of various countries and representatives of multilateral and bilateral agencies for discussions.
T.K.A. Nair, Adviser to the Prime Minister, and State Planning Board vice-chairman K.M. Chandrasekhar will be present in these meetings. This will be followed by a meeting with leading industrialists and business leaders in the evening.
Emerging Kerala is being held in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the National Association of Software and Services Companiesand the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation is the nodal agency.
