Guwahati: In a new twist to reports about the ULFA chairman’s detention in Bangladesh, a caller identifying himself as Arabinda Rajkhowa told local television news channel NE TV that he was not under detention. He denied the media reports of his alleged arrest in Dhaka.

“I am where I was. These reports have been circulated by those who want to derail the peace process. The truth will come out on Friday,” the caller told the news channel.

Rajkhowa reportedly also called members of the People’s Consultative Group, formed by the militant outfit earlier to prepare the ground for peace talks between the ULFA and the government, to deny the media reports.
