Rajasthan Minister of State for Transport Virendra Beniwal on Friday said each village panchayat in the State will be connected with bus services following the successful transport facility provided through public-private partnership model in several districts. The 2013-14 State budget has allocated Rs.10 crore to address the viability gap of the State Road Transport Corporation.

He said during Question Hour in the State Assembly that the rural bus service introduced through the PPP model in Udaipur, Karauli, Dausa, Dungarpur and Alwar districts had been extremely successful.

“The next step is to provide bus link to each panchayat and ensure hassle-free transport for villagers.”
