The bodies of three fishermen, who drowned after their boat capsized on Thursday, were washed ashore earlier in the day on Friday.
Kalyanasundaram (45), Mahalingam (58), and Mathiazhagan (40) had drowned after they were thrown off board due to rough currents.
The men were part of a 40-member fishermen crew that had ventured into the sea from Pazhayar on Thursday morning for fishing.
The boat capsized due to heavy currents 300 meters off Pazhayar.
While the remaining fishermen swam to safety, the three men were found missing and were feared dead on Thursday.
Their bodies were brought to Sirkazhi government hospital.
Earlier, Minister for Fisheries K.A.Jayapal along with Collector T.Munusamy, visited the hospital to check on the fishermen recuperating.
