“Even Advani and Venkaiah made cautious ‘T’ statements”
Bharateeya Janatha Cheneta cell State president K.S. Chakradhari announced his resignation to the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) membership on Tuesday, saying that he was deeply agitated over the statement of senior leader Sushma Swaraj regarding Telangana during her recent visit to Mahabubnagar district.
He deplored that at a time when the whole Seemandhra region was suffering due to bandhs and strikes, Ms. Swaraj caused more heartburn by stating that the BJP would support the Bill for formation of Telangana with Hyderabad as capital, if the Congress introduces it in the winter session of Parliament.
In a statement here, Mr. Chakradhari recalled that it was totally uncalled for on the part of visiting senior leaders and they should not forget that even national leader L.K. Advani, Rajya Sabha member M. Venkaiah Naidu and prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi made cautious statements with regard to protection of the interests of the people of Seemandhra regions.
Mr. Chakradhari sent in his resignation to BJP national president Rajnath Singh, State president G. Kishan Reddy and Nellore district president P. Surender Reddy.
