BJP president Nitin Gadkari has served a legal notice on Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh for his “scandalous and defamatory” statements against him. If Mr. Singh failed to apologise for his alleged statements, as reported in sections of the media, that Ajay Sancheti, a ‘business partner’ of Mr. Gadkari, has earned a profit of Rs. 490 crore from the coal mines allocation in Chhattisgarh, he would have to face legal consequences, the notice said.
