Amid the exodus of northeast residents following rumours post Assam riots, a young man has been arrested here for allegedly morphing pictures of last year’s Maval firing and the recent Mumbai’s Azad Maidan mayhem and uploading them on Facebook, the police said on Monday.
Police custody
Kiran Bapu Pankar (22), a resident of Panchavati here, was arrested by the city police after Mumbai Crime Branch noticed the post on Facebook and informed Nashik Police about it.
Kiran was produced before a local holiday court which remanded him in police custody till August 24, the police said.
He is a designer with an advertising company. — PTI
