Paritala Sunitha, MLA from Raptadu constituency in Anantapur and wife of slain political TDP leader Paritiala Ravindra, on Saturday categorically stated that her son Siddhartha would be her legal political heir. However a formal declaration would be made only after consulting the elders in the family as well as in the Telugu Desam Party (TDP ) to which she belonged.

Talking to media persons, Ms. Sunitha sounded optimistic about the TDP winning a majority of the seats in the by-elections. She said that the people of the State were vexed with the height of corruption and were totally for a change in guard.

She said that the Congress government had miserably failed in delivering the goods and it was for this reason that the people of the State desired to see TDP Chief N. Chandrababu holding the reins of administration.

In reply to a question, she said that the TDP would win both the two Assembly segments in her district with a thumping majority in the by-elections. Earlier in the morning, Ms. Sunitha offered prayers at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara.
