A 16-year-old school student, B. Srisailam of Yellareddigudam in Narketpalli rural police limits of Nalgonda sub-division, was found brutally murdered on Monday, with axe injuries on the neck and shoulder.
The body was lying in bushes on the outskirts of the town. He had taken cattle for grazing. According to Ramulu Naik, CI, who is investigating the case, various motives like previous enmity arising out of a 2007 murder, or a love affair, were being looked into.
He said several suspects were being interrogated. The victim's father Peddulu was allegedly involved in the murder of one Anjaiah.
Anjaiah's family members are suspected to be involved in the killing. The police handed over the body to the relatives after the post-mortem at local government hospital.
