The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike's (BBMP) Standing Committee for Public Health, along with Yelahanka MLA S.R. Vishwanath, inspected the Mother Dairy plant on Saturday.
They found that Mother Dairy was releasing untreated water on vacant land next to the dairy.
Residents complained that the untreated water had polluted the groundwater in the neighbouring localities.
The committee members directed BBMP officials to collect water samples from the area and send it for testing.
