Mumbai: Coach 864 A, one of the carriages mangled in the serial bombings on Mumbai trains last year, rolled out of Churchgate station on its maiden journey since being restored.

The coach is one of the seven destroyed in the blasts that has been restored and pressed back into service. Five coaches are to be restored.

A number of journalists and railway officials assembled on Platform No 1 as the train with the special coach pulled in.
