New Delhi: Biennial elections to six Rajya Sabha seats from Tamil Nadu will be held on June 15, the Election Commission announced on Tuesday.

The terms of Rajya Sabha members R. Kamraj (AIADMK), S. Gokula Indira (AIADMK), S.S. Chandran (AIADMK), K.P.K Kumaran (DMK), B. S. Gnanadesikan (Congress), P.G. Narayanan (AIADMK) will expire on July 24.

A notification for the polls will be issued on May 29 and the last date for filing nominations is June five. The nomination papers will be scrutinised on June six and the last day for withdrawal of candidature is June eight.

The elections will be held on June 15 and results will be announced the same evening. PTI
