Peace and quiet: The Hill Queen on its way to Halflong town, the headquarters of the North Kachar Hills district of Assam, on Sunday. This tourist destination was severely affected due to insurgency during the last few years. However, after the surrender of the Dima Halam Daogah (DHD-Jewel) militants on Friday, the residents are hopeful that tourists from all over the world will flock to the region once again.
