The Aligarh Muslim University Vice-Chancellor has constituted a task force for monitoring security measures for girls and women on the campus.

The five-member task force will be chaired by senior AMU Women’s College faculty member Shabana Hameed and include Aftab Alam, Asma Ali, Sheeba Hamid and Saghir Ansari, according to official sources here.

According to a notification, the task force, besides reviewing existing security arrangements for women, will also draw up a fresh plan for strengthening those steps.
