: Holding out that it was “challenging the trend of buying tickets after giving crores of rupees to the party high command”, the Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday declared four more candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Delhi. These candidates would contest from Model Town, Rohtas Nagar, Seelampur and Shakur Basti. So far the party has declared the names of 33 of its candidates for the 70 Assembly seats, which would go to polls in November this year.
Akhileshpati Tripathi, the AAP candidate from Model Town, joined politics through his association with movement for Jan Lok Pal. The party candidate from Seelampur, Aftab Ahmad, is a teacher. Mukesh Hooda, a former Air Force personnel, is an AAP candidate from Rohtas Nagar.
Satendra Kumar Jain, an architect, He is one of the two shortlisted candidates from Shakur Basti.
